Conferences & Services
“Thank you so much for your wonderful contribution to our symposium. You really made it one of the best in the nation.”
- Patricia Roby, Director of Training and Family Education Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter
Joyce Simard is a sought after speaker for a wide range of organizations. She has spoken for Alzheimer's Chapters throughout the country and was chosen by the Alzheimer's Association to speak at their annual leadership conference on advanced care. Ms. Simard has also spoken for activity director's organizations, at medical conferences, for home health organizations and home based care companies. Many of her speaking engagements provide continuing education credits and are sponsored as marketing events for healthcare companies.
Namaste Care is offered as a keynote presentation, or a "break-out" session or can be offered as an all day workshop. Her reviews have been excellent and everyone who has engaged her has offered to be a resource to anyone that is interested in feedback from conference organizers.
Speaking about quality of life for people with advanced dementia, is only one topic Joyce offers. She also is an expert in speaking about continuous activity programs like "The Club" and “The Memory Enhancement Program." www.joycesimard.com Many organizations are also asking her to do the children's program as the ending keynote that leaves the audience smiling. This keynote speech is based on her book "The Magic Tape Recorder". The organization provides children to be on stage with her, and Grandma Joyce engages them to be helpers to people who have a variety of aliments such as poor vision and hearing and memory problems. This program ends with everyone, the children and the audience playing kazoos because you can still have fun and giggle and laugh even if you have Alzheimer's disease.
Joyce is also creative and can develop presentations that are based on the “message” the sponsoring organization wants to deliver. The conferences always end with something that leaves an impression on the audience; a funny rendition of "When I Grow Old" or a touching DVD showing a Namaste care program. Laughing or tearful, the audience leaves with something to take away with them.
